I’m Gene Closuit. I have been designing websites and visual identities for over 30 years, starting with hand-coded HTML before the millennium and trained originally in fine art and video installation at the Geneva School of Art and Duncan Jordanstone.
I work exclusively with non-profits, artists, galleries and ethical brands who care about how they show up in the world and care about the world itself. My work stays elegant, minimal and human-centred, because the best digital spaces reflect real values, not corporate noise.
I don’t use templates. Each site starts with a blank canvas, shaped around the client, their work, and their audience.
I also write CHOOSE LOW, a manifesto for ethical web living, with practical tips to protect your privacy, reduce your CO₂ footprint and stop feeding Big Tech.
